How much does it cost?
Liposuction is very affordable and we work closely with a medical procedure
financing company. We can even reimburse you for the interest you pay
so it is interest free financing.
What exactly is “ultrasonic tumescent liposuction”?
This procedure involves the use of ultrasound to break fat down into a
liquid form. This allows the fat to be removed in a much gentler
way, with less bruising and swelling than traditional liposuction.
Incisions are usually 1cm or less and are put in an inconspicuous location.
The procedure is done under a local anesthetic, so you will be awake the
whole time, but will feel nothing. You can walk out on your own
afterward, but will need someone to pick you up as you will be medicated
at the time.
What is the recovery time?
You can have this procedure done on a Friday and be back at work on Monday
or Tuesday. However, you must take it easy for a few days and gradually
get back to your normal activity level. You will be required to
wear a compression garment (like heavy-weight panty hose) for 3-4 weeks
after the procedure to help control swelling and protect the stitches
in the incisions. This garment also helps the skin to heal to the
underlying tissues, resulting in a smoother look.
How long until I can exercise again?
After 1 week, you can begin to exercise carefully, as long as there is
no pain.
How long until I can get the surgery done?
After your initial complimentary consultation with one of our consultants,
if you would like to go ahead with the procedure, you are booked in to
see a consultant for a sign up appointment. At this point, paperwork
is filled out, photos and measurements are taken, a deposit is left, and
you will meet the doctor. Your surgery date will be booked at that
time. On average, it takes 4-6 weeks from the time of your initial consultation
to have the procedure done.
Does it hurt?
The procedure will likely leave you a little bit sore at the site, but
you will still be able to perform your normal daily activities.
Where is the procedure done?
The procedure is done here in our clinic. We have a fully appointed,
accredited surgical suite available for these procedures.
Do you have payment plans available?
The clinic itself requires full payment before the procedure is done.
However, we deal with a company called Medi-Card who will finance medical
procedures. If you are interested in this option, we have application
forms here at the clinic and would be happy to discuss them with you in
your initial consultation.
Who is a good candidate for liposuction?
An ideal candidate is someone who is within about 30-50 lbs of his or
her ideal weight and maintains a regular diet and exercise program.
However, client outside this range would still be considered.
How long do the results last?
Results are permanent, however, existing fat cells can still swell in
the area but not to the same degree. If a great deal of weight is
gained, it usually relocates to another area.
Will I see results immediately?
You may feel larger when you leave after the surgery due to the swelling
that occurs after the procedure, but the visual effect is immediate.
Subtle swelling may still be visible for up to 6 months.
