What Exactly Is Permanent Cosmetic Make-Up?

Permanent cosmetic makeup is a state of the art form of cosmetic tattooing. The specialized techniques used for permanent make-up are often referred to as "micro-pigmentation". Permanent make-up procedures are performed using a coil or rotary machine in which pigment is embedded beneath the skin to add colour to enhance features of the body. The procedure involves the use of a hand-held device that pushes the pigment into the desired location. The process for these procedures includes the initial consultation, test patching for colour, initial application of pigment, and usually one or two follow up visits for adjusting the shape and colour or density of the pigment.

Is it Painful?
Steps are taken to make sure the client is as comfortable as possible. There is usually some discomfort, although everyone's tolerance level is different. Most clients agree permanent makeup is well worth it.
How will I know you will do what I want?
You will come into the office with your makeup on the way you like you wear it. Based on the way you currently wear your makeup, we will work together to create your desired look. If there are any questions as to shape or color, we will be conservative. Each procedure takes approximately one or two hours. In most cases you can have a procedure performed and return to work or regular daily activities with minimal redness or swelling in a day or two. A touch-up appointment is scheduled four to six weeks after a procedure is performed. There is no additional charge for this visit.
